What exactly does installing Powder Toy

I downloaded the ZIP from the website, extracted it and ran the executable. Then it asks me if I want to install the program so I get a few extra options.
But what exactly does this install do?
As far as I know, it
* adds 2 file type associations (.cps and .stm)
* adds a config file (%APPDATA%\The Powder Toy\powder.pref)
Is this all it does?
Is there also a proper way to uninstall Powder Toy, other than doing it manually?

This is the installation routine for Windows. It adds two file associations, registers the ptsave: protocol so URLs on this website can open online saves (like below), and it adds a shortcut to "programs", i.e. normally the start menu, but who knows at this point with modern Windows...2198View Save 2198
powder.pref is not part of the installation routine; it's written to the working directory whenever some setting changes.

Too bad there isn't an uninstall feature - that would be a nice addition IMHO.
I can confirm that the shortcut still works in Windows 11; it's (still) added to the Start menu.

You can store settings in userdata, and to uninstall (of course, while keeping stamps and other data somewhere on the server), you can simply use regedit to delete keys with file associations, and then just delete Powder as a folder along with all its shortcuts.
