SSRD is potentially the most destructive energy particle I've heard of in any TPT mod or script. It turns virtually everything it hits into more SSRD. Its properties are affected by various bits in its tmp value, which are documented within the script. Note that low single digit FPS is normal when using SSRD, especially when buffing it with the SPWU tool.
SSRD Power Up (SPWU) increases the life of SSRD and allows it to destroy walls in the brush area. In replace mode, it will change the tmp value of the SSRD to an alternate value without changing its life. In flood fill mode, SPWU super-buffs SSRD to instantly destroy most regen alloys. Both replace mode and specific delete work in flood fill mode, with specific delete removing CONV and clones that would normally only have their ctype changed. With judicious use of these features, it can defeat alloys like Verna more quickly than any stock erasing device I know of.
In contrast to SPWU, SSRD Power Down (SPWD) makes SSRD somewhat less powerful by decreasing its life and tmp values. In practice, most saves will still be destroyed by SSRD, even when it is weakened by SPWD. SPWD tends to have a more lasting effect than SPWU, but both auto-deco SSRD to mark their effect.
Thorium (THOR) is an element intended for use in nuclear reactors. It does not emit energy particles by itself, but it quickly heats up when bombarded with NEUT. This heating effect is self-regulating at the melting point of 1750 C. Note that my implementation is similar, but not identical, to SpikeViper's implementation.
Radium (RADI) is an element with properties that can be adjusted through the ctype and life values, essentially allowing you to create your own isotopes. It starts off with a radioactivity similar to POLO, but by increasing the LIFE value, it can be made much more radioactive.
Americium-242m (AMER) is a nuclear fuel providing multiple ways to extract energy. It is so sticky that even copious amounts of DMG, combined with max temp FRAY, cannot remove it from solids. The intended configuration for AMER is a thin film, which enables radiative cooling during fission, as well as convective cooling when ambient heat turned on.
Beryllium oxide (BERY/PBRY) is the provided moderator to scatter and slow NEUT before it hits AMER. PBRY, the powdered form, will solidify or "sinter" into BERY around 1756 C, requiring less heat at higher pressure. BERY will melt at 2578 C. On the other hand, BERY will shatter into PBRY when the pressure drops below -30. BERY, but not PBRY, tends to make nearby PLSM disappear.
For a non-radioactive material, PBRY is terrible for the environment. It bores straight through trees, distorting their branches and turning their leaves into DUST. It also insta-kills YEST, VINE, and SEED while turning GOL types into VIRS.
I'm open to suggestions. However, I cannot guarantee that they will be implemented in any recognizable form.
A simple i-RADI-a bomb can be made by loosely packing a shell of HEAC and INSL with RADI(TESC) and RADI(GBMB), then cranking up the life of the RADI.
I eventually got one of my GSPFT fusion rockets running using AMER instead of GLOW. It was a bit fiddly; I had to experiment with AMER placement and heavily preheat the engine. AMER is really intended more for fission than fusion. It can also be used to make the minimal nuclear battery using one pixel each of INWR and AMER.
