What gas really is GAS?

    What kind of gas really is GAS, and what kind of liquid really is OIL? Just asking.

    GAS is gaseous hydrocarbons
    OIL is liquid hydrocarbons
    It is unlikely that you will be able to get a more specific answer.

     Essentially what EnganK said, it's all the hydrocarbons gases in one element. Like NBLE is all the nobel gases in one element, it's helium pretty much.
