    Oh My God, 9725 degrees celcius is the max? Supernova can go up to 1 billion degrees celcius and up to even 100 billion degrees celcius. Why did they hard code a max for 9725 degrees celcius? I don't know! Now, I have to resort to The Resizable Toy.

    At some point higher temperatures are simply not useful. Realistic sure, but useful? No- unless there's a feature someone adds in a pull request that shows that it's needed then the temperature ceiling is fine for what it does.

     That's not entirely true: Developers programmed the "unmeltables" to withstand infinate temperature; they're not focusing on being too realistic, even if they increase the temperature limit by a million.

     

    They really want elements to live up to their name, even if it breaks the laws of physics.

     You are correct, but when you unlock higher tempretures like 14000 degrees kelvin, you unlock much more possibilities, like accurate nuclear explosions vaporizing bunkers immedieately, accurate gamma ray bursts, thermal heat reactors like using 1332846 degrees kelvin to create power. 

      Second of all, raising the thermal heat limit also makes The Powder Toy accurate, and if you disagree, here's the impact: Bombs are suddenly more deadly, most people will appreciate it more, reactors will be much more realistic, like reactor explosions. 


      Third of all, it's pretty easy to change the tempreture limit: 100000, or a benchmark number, like 16383, 16384, 100000, 99999. It doesn't hurt to raise the tempreture limit, and here's a question you should ask yourself: "Is it easy to modify the tempreture limit without affecting other code?" If yes, then do it. Seriously. The impact of 1 code change is extreme. But if not, then keep it at 9999.99 kelvin. Although this is about tempreture, this also applies to pressure and negative pressure.

     Developers already set their limit; they cannot make it higher in the official TPT because it would break a lot of saves about explosives. They knew what they were doing about the temp limit because there's really no need for higher; realism isn't their main focus. You could always make a mod called "The Extendable Toy", or at least ask a modder to do so.

     

    Please care more about older saves.
