hello, i wanna make a nuclear reactor, and tutorials i see do not seem to work, is there possibly any setting that makes it hard to make nuclear reactors on by default? im new to the game

id recommend reverse engineering some exisitng ones, generally make a box with a high melting point and another one with a lower melting point around that one with water inside it, inside of the smalelr box you put CLNE(DEUT) and CLNE(NEUT)

All you need for a nuclear reactor is the water, some temperature to boil the water (by any radioactive thing) and then something to make power out of the steam.

     Some tips:

I find URAN+BOYL in an enclosed space to make a more interesting reaction, but whether you use that or DEUT is up to you.

You can use MERC to control the neutron amount. It even expands when its hot for you.

Use water to cool the reactor. Water boiling is actually what generates the energy irl, but you can use DTEC(WTRV) to simulate that.

You need to have some control over the temperature of the reactor. I would suggest GOLD+MERC control rods you can lower to control the NEUT and slow down the reaction.
