I personally found 99.4 to be incredibly fun and a test of my TPT knowledge, discovering elements alchemically by using in-game reactions and making testing methodologies for randomly selected elements was a fascinating experience and it's the most fun I've had with TPT since I started playing.

 I'm sorry what? Are you suggesting we suck the substance out of life cause April Fools hurt you? The point of April Fools is to take the shenanigans thrown at you head on. Instead of getting upset over it, you play into the shenanigans. I personally found it interesting, funny, a test of game knowledge.

 Everyone can interpret April fool's day however they please; we're all entitled to out feelings.  I don't like April fool's day either, and that's okay.
