Why is steam named WTRV? Why not STEA or SEAM?
"WaTeR Vapor". Also, Devs would most likely confuse "Steam" for an education program, "STEM". So, that may be the reason it's like this.
Either that, or Devs wanted certain elements to have abbreviated, fancy names. Like Carbon Dioxide is abbreviated to "CO2"
CO2 is technically an abbreviation, only scientific. It appears as a TPT codename because its common name is self-explanatory. Not that the developers want this game to be as scientific as they want.
"WATR" could've been named "H2O" in TPT but it wasn't. That's because the main focus for the game wasn't to be as scientific as possible.
you can change it though, run this command in console thingy: elements.property(elements.DEFAULT_PT_WTRV, "Name", "[insert name here]") but replace the [insert name here] with the name you want
Wow! I didn't know TPT had names like this before! O_O
I think CO2 is still like this most likely because the element itself, "Carbon Dioxide", really has no other street name and other abbreviation ideas were not ideal.
I prefer CO² to be left alone, I don't know why, but it's iconic lol.
I prefer WTRV to remain like this! It's too ideal to be replaced. It stands out compared to other ways to abbreviate that element. I have nothing else to say.
