    if you talk nitrogen structurally, you can't just slam H2O in place of the nitrogen in the base pairs of DNA

    dude, you do realise nitrogen readily bonds with itself to form N2 which is extremely hard to break down and can only have that done by high energy input or only one kind of nitrogen fixing enzyme which itself breaks down in the presence of oxygen
