Supply towns with weapons to use their guerilla tactics against the mechs. Give anti-mech weaponry, rocket launchers, anti-material rifles, etc.

Shoot down anything that is deploying the mechs. Destroy wherever is being assembled. If they can't get here, we'll be fine. And if they're large mechs, how are you even transporting them?
