  I also occasionally check in on this save and others because I enjoy seeing what other smaller nationwide communities have been up to, though none of them have met the rather high bar MT has set in terms of quality, though that doesn't diminish from the efforts of other less experienced hosts.

  I have looked it up and the science agrees with me. It's impossible. We're unable to produce nanotubes that exceed a few meters in length and said tubes are also full of massive defects which massively decrease integrity. Other materials face difficulties stemming from their nature; monolayered materials are not feasibly usable.

  Said materials are exceedingly hard to produce and I've yet to see any demonstration of us being able to translate said nano structures into massive scales. Space debris and other objects are also something to be considered as they'd doom any attempts at elevators. So get debunked.
