Crossflow Engine Prototype (Overhead Cam, EFI Gas/Petrol Type). Inspired by Mitsubishi 4G54 engine design. On startup, engine cranks to generate vacuum before combustion begins. Pre-ignites when run on DESL causing undesired operation.

fairly robust, nowhere near as robust as the 6cyl but throwing hydrogen, oxygen oil and gas into this and watching it struggle is nonetheless hillarious

The only issue I have with PSTN engines is that they don't really simulate compression, and the limitations of the piston and frame usually mean that only small cylinders are doable. In this case, the flow of vapors in the cylinder was the most important consideration.

nice, but i have always favoured the PSTN engines. yes i did look at the id, it is good to see someone like this still posting good work. but it does not have half the votes it deserves.

Since this one isn't getting as much attention at the 6-cylinder, I made it easier to use. No need to add fuel before starting anymore - it's already done. Just spark ON and let it run.

This engine is a little less forgiving than the 6-cylinder version I made. I'd eventually like to find out how to stop it from occasionally backfiring and destroying itself, but it'll take some time.

REV A2 - Revised ECU, slightly longer intake valve duration. Adjusted temp sensor to compensate for increased heat in cylinder walls throwing a premature overheat alert.

May have to make some adjustments to the control unit, I think.
