    This paticular unit has a potent AT field even by angel standards. The strongest one belonged to the 17th angel Tabris, which was capable of blocking pretty much anything including light and subatomic particles. This unit also blovks subatomic particles like protons, so it is easily equialent to if not stronger than Tabris.

    TLDR: an AT field is a very strong field that can only be neutralised by another AT field.

    On the whole AT fields are used defensively to block attacks, but they can be used offensively most notably to generate the energy beams used by Sachiel and Ramiel.

    A notable exception to this is Israfel the 7th angel, but even it was only partially harmed by an N2 bomb, the equivalent of a medium scale nuclear warhead. Angel AT fields are unique that they are capable of conciously choosing their own form, which is why every angel is almost entirely unique apart from a few points.
