We are back, refurbished and with new ideas. Read all of our old discussion on the forum under a topic called Evolution in a video game! Anyways the main plan is to create small bots that eat to survive, reproduce, and then change (genes). Check list.

I mean that the replicator would make a new cell by checking wich elements are present in the gas core. Also there could be other stuff connected to the dtecs. Like, if the gas core contains oxyg, it would trigger a flickering gpmp, which would make its movement more hectic

Does yours have WIFI?
-
Different gasses don't move when there is no space in the container. My gasbot already works, but it just needs some WIFI. And anyway, you would want a large space to detect the gas. TSNS works better, and it is universal.

id:1916242 I made a farm of these. :DD I've built in the avoid-collisions-module discussed before, so they can avoid each other.
-
how about using this as a gene module too? There could be detectors around it, which would send different signals to replicators depending on gas compositison.

awww...

After conducting a few tests, it doesn't do anything different with different gasses.
-
The whole point of the gas genome was to make the bot move differently if different types of gas were used, so if it doesn't, we shouldn't check off the gene module yet. Unless my working one counts (It should).

perogie, check off "Put gene module in" plz

Awesome! We have a save on fp again! :D
