We are back, refurbished and with new ideas. Read all of our old discussion on the forum under a topic called Evolution in a video game! Anyways the main plan is to create small bots that eat to survive, reproduce, and then change (genes). Check list.

No, they float to the top and stay there.

Wait, really?
-
umm, they can basically move in every liquid :D
-
Oh! Gasses can move whilst in BIZR!!!!!! OMG! My genome can be put in a bot if you fill the space with BIZR and use layered DTEC to detect all of the gasses!

Using a module like this would assign randomly occuring functions to the presence of a certain element. It's limited to 2 genotypes for each gene, but I think it would be a good start.

I say we just stick with my design for the meantime, and keep genetics external. It also makes it easier to breed bots.

It still won't let it move around.

What if we used a liquid + gas medium? That would allow particles to move around, and maybe some liquid or gas can alter the course of the detected particle.

Someone already made one that uses DRAY to overlay 2 cores over each other.I do like the idea of using DTEC to control certain functions, but that realy limits the combinations of genes that we can have.
